Team Fast Sports scores another win at the NHRA Division One Open / LUCAS
Oil Points race mega-weekend! At the end of the five day event, crew chief
Denny Steward (currently driving our top dragster for injured team owner
Mike Gardner) made it to the winner's circle. With a little bit of
luck and some extremely good driving when he needed it, Denny bested the
21 car field to earn the NHRA Wally. This marks the second
consecutive year in the winners circle for Fast Sports after the 2006 win
in Top Sportsman by Mike. Great job, Denny!

Bad News!!!
During a recent trip (February 18th, 2007)
to Bradenton, Florida to the NHRA Division Two points race, Mike Gardner
had a top end crash in the Top Sportsman car. After taking the win light
in the first round of eliminations, Mike was hit after
his competitor experienced some sort of parachute malfunction. The
impact took out the front left wheel and tire on the car which
caused Mike to hit the right side guard wall and ultimately sent
the car into a terrible end over end crash. Mike was air-lifted to the hospital
that Sunday and released to his wife, Katie's care on Tuesday of that
week. He is doing okay but will be out of the drivers seat indefinitely! The
other driver involved required no medical assistance and was medically cleared at
the racetrack. Needless to say, the Top Sportsman car was
a total loss.

The new Don Davis built Top Dragster that was recently completed for Mike to pilot will
probably be driven by Mike's crew chief Denny Steward while the team
decides where to go from here.
Mike will be at the racetrack this year with his team as they get Katie
back on the track in her new Super Stocker.
We would like to thank everyone for your prayers and get well wishes
throughout this trying time and hope to see all of you soon.
Thank You
Team Fast Sports
January 2007!!!
Don Davis Race Cars Top Dragster arrives!
Our driver, Tom Davis, drove through the ice storms of Oklahoma and Texas
to retrieve the new car. The dually experienced a idler pulley malfunction
with only 60 miles to go and Tom had to be towed in but he made it to El
Paso, Texas and back in just 5 days even with the repair to the truck.
Great job Tom!!!

Breaking News!
Katie Gardner will be driving a Super Stock Firebird for the
2007 season! Katie took delivery in August of a 1992 Pontiac Firebird
built originally by Ed Quay Race Cars and the team has been busy preparing
it for the 2007 NHRA season.
Other News!!!
Mike Gardner taking delivery of a new Don Davis
Top Dragster for
2007!!! With the team already doing well with the Top Sportsman car, it
was a no-brainer that they put Mike in another dragster to hopefully
continue his winning ways!
Great News!!!!!!
Denny Steward hired full time for complete control
of Race operations! Denny was a part time employee acting as crew chief
and will continue his role for the 2007 season and beyond. Look out, here
